This is a good analogy and so true, I think I like to be in the game. I don't want to sit the bench and watch others play the game. Never want to be penalized either. Are you in or out? ;)

Thanks for reading, sister! I have noticed a lot of mothers hurting lately- children do a lot of taking until it is their turn for their children to take it seems, kind of sad. But it inspired me to write this. I miss our mom, but I am so happy to have you!! I love you.

So true, we as mothers always carry our children on our shoulders, they hurt, we hurt, their pain is my pain. Funny I should read this today, as I was really worried about one of my own last night. Peace is so hard to find when you know your children are hurting or not where they want to be. Good write sister.

I like it! Your imagery and symbolism make me really curious as to what exactly the room is, and what exactly she's locking out in the beginning and locking in at the end.

Thank you, Ben. Your feedback means a lot to me. I see how one might interpret that as contrast, but I actually was thinking about a chameleon as conforming, or blending in rather than as you maybe saw it as being adaptable. But I really like how you saw that, it is really interesting! I never thought of it that way, it still works!

That's a very interesting idea. I love the idea of a partnership between the writer and the paper. "Reflection is what matters." I like that line. Very cool.
